Serving Our City

Serving Our City

I have frequently shared with you about Orange County Rescue Mission’s incredible partnership with the City of Tustin, a city we are blessed to call home and that has offered tremendous support over the years. We are always looking for ways we can give back to the City, and serve our neighbors. And we have been able to develop a growing partnership and various service opportunities.

I have also shared in the past about our partnership with Starbucks and local grocery stores around Orange County which provide the bulk of our food at the Rescue Mission. As we began to receive food, we found that there was plenty to be able to share with other groups and organizations in need.

We found a way to put the remainder of the food to good use through our partnership with the City of Tustin. Three times per week, the City picks up donations from our Grocery Rescue program and distributes them to other needy groups throughout the city, including the Tustin Senior Center and the Tustin Youth Center! Through this distribution, hundreds of people in the City of Tustin are receiving assistance through the provision of food they would not otherwise have access to.

We are so grateful to be able to serve the City of Tustin in this way, and to be able to give out of what we have been given by Starbucks. Tustin has been the Rescue Mission’s home for 10 years, and my home for even longer. It is always my goal to serve this great city in any way I can and to care for the Least, the Last, and the Lost that also call Tustin, home.

Giving online is easy, safe, and quick. Your donation will make an immediate impact to provide meals, shelter and services for a homeless family in desperate need of a hand up to self-sufficiency.
