ServiceNow TechNow 99: Yokohama Release. Notes.

01. Flow Generation with Now Assist. You can use #table_name tags to explicitly define tables you need in your Flow.

02. Flow Debugger is coming. Debug your flows step by step and feel yourself in control.

Ivansky Comment: Yeah. Great one! No more crying in the night while debugging.

03. App Summarization with Now Assist. What the app does, who has access to it, and what resources it uses?

04. Table summarization. Summary of the tables included in app.

Ivansky Comment: Great for tackling that technical debt left for you by previous developers... :D

05. ATF: Now Assist for Test Generation. Something about interpretation of acceptance criteria and other features.

06. ATF: Reusable test cases can be applied to multiple suites, removing the duplication. Standartize the testing practices.

Ivansky Comment: Nothing to add. Sounds great.

07. ServiceNow Studio: Experience Switcher between Creator Studio, Studio and IDE.

08. ServiceNow Studio: Source Control in ServiceNow Studio is planned for Z for sure.

Ivansky Comment: Nice features and Earl was confident about it appearing in Z. Let's hope! :D

09. ServiceNow IDE: Typescript can be easily added as dependency and become available.

10. ServiceNow IDE: Conversion of existing apps into Fluent apps is now possible.

Ivansky Comment: The conversion looks pretty cool, especially for those who are yet to experience the power of IDE. It should give you some reference to start with.

11. Now Assist for RPA Bot generation. Rapid prototyping and simplification of automation creation.

12. Export dashboards to PPT and PDF.

Ivansky Comment: Nice to have.

13. Embedded Knowledge - Guest access coming in the next releases, authenticated users only now.

Ivansky Comment: Well that's something I was waiting for a long time, and it's great that we are going there. Now you can sell it across the enterprise and start embedding KBs in the other systems with ease while keeping the centralized knowledge source. Waiting for the guest access.

14. External content connectors (e.g. SharePoint) in AI Search. Secure and efficient content delivery. Enterprise wide knowledge.

Ivansky Comment: That sounds promising; additional details would be helpful.

15. Creator Studio: Text to Form is here.

16. Dynamic Behavior for Catalog Items with NowAssist: Auto population, UI policies.

17. UI Builder: Create your own Page collections, Controllers. Available from the UI Builder homepage.

18. UI Builder: Conditional renderer component added.

19. UI Builder: User presence on the UI Builder pages.

20. UI Builder: Version comparison of UI Builder pages.

Ivansky Comment: 19 and 20 are great for collaborative efforts and conflict resolutions during the development.

21. Mobile: Prepopulated instance URL (GA and Branded apps). GA apps will ask for it once, Branded will have it included in branding.

22. Mobile: Pre login landing page. Show some content before instance sign in window.

23. Mobile: Image annotation feature inside of the app (all over mobile platform). Make a photo, add annotation, use the results.

Ivansky Comment: All great. Nothing to add. :)

24. Mobile Builder: Static previews examples in Mobile Builder have been replaced with live demo.

Ivansky Comment: Great improvement. Allows you to immediately see the changes while developing the mobile experience.

25. NowAssist for Spoke Generation.

26. Playbook generation from Image. JPEG, PNG, WEBP.

Ivansky Comment: Make a whiteboard sketch, take a photo, upload it into the system and polish for perfection. It's as simple as that.

27. Access Analyzer will get a new "AA_Admin" role to simplify access troubleshooting.

Ivansky Comment: Great thing if you want to grant AA access to authorized non-admin users.

28. MFA is now enforced by default. Enrollment window extension is possible. SSO (Single Sign-On) and integrations are unaffected.

Ivansky Comment: Honey, what took you so long?

29. Developer Sandbox. Collaboration without overlapping.

Ivansky Comment: Isolated environment on the SAME instance. Work on the same script include together with no overlapping. Any merging options?

30. Email Reply Recommendations in Classic (Platform) UI directly through email client.

Ivansky Comment: Some life improvements for the old-timers and Core UI lovers (like me hehe).

31. Workflow Automation: Conversation Subflow action. (Evaluated by a background script). Conversational settings should be done first (skill selection, etc.).

Ivansky Comment: Logical step, keeping in mind that AI is everywhere nowadays.

32. Playbook variants. To be used for complex logic.

Ivansky Comment: In short you can have a base playbook and then you can lay so called nuances over. Restart and reevaluation of the playbook is also possible now. 6 layers deep underneath the base layer. Conditional based. When you are on a variant you cannot modify the parent.
