How To Increase Your Human Capital For Free

UPDATE : This article got me invited on the show! Here's a link to that episode: 925: Scott Tucker on the Military, Entrepreneurship, and Wealth Creation

This Speaks to Me. It Should Speak to You Too.

[The Jason Stapleton Program Episode 901: Excellence is Lonely]

Many of you are seeking a leg-up in post military life. It’s easy to fall into the trap of looking for an easy solution for the same problem we all face: money.

Financial problems are never the true problem. They are the scapegoat. Meaning is the struggle we often avoid to tackle. I avoided it for too many years until I made more money that I ever did in the Army and lost all sense of integrity. Securing a regular paycheck and benefits eventually expose the true risks in life.

We must broaden our approach. Avoid the false narratives of “that’s how it’s supposed to be.” Search for alternative ways to build your human capital.

Discover outlets for influence.

Only you can take the responsibility to do that. It can be a tough pill to swallow. Until you’ve hit the bottom, you often miss perspective. Even worse, you fail to take responsibility. For years I blamed mentors, coaches, consultants, and online gurus. I spent my life savings of at least $300K and change (I stopped counting) searching to answer the question: Do I matter?

I can honestly say that no one person has had as great an impact on my outlook on life than this liberty-minded Marine: Jason Stapleton.  (his podcast is free by the way)

I’ve followed The Jason Stapleton Program for over two years now, and I usually don’t like to “fan boy” it up… LOL.

But now is the time to inspire, and I know I must pass along his message to other liberty-loving veterans.

Jason has changed my life with insight and REALITY checks that no mentor, life coach, or highly paid consultant (ugh $$$$) could offer. I now have courage to speak and act out my truth and purpose for veterans who are ready to come along for the ride.

Scott R Tucker & Host Jason Stapleton

Not all are ready, I accept that— but for those who are, Jason will show you how to take responsibility for EVERYTHING that happens.

There is no time for blame.

I am excited to see where the new focus of this show goes in 2019. I encourage all veterans looking for a new opportunity in life to take a good listen to this episode, then take a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself this:

Are you serving only those whom you are meant to serve?

Not honoring this question is the biggest mistake I have made in years past. My resolution going forward: empower others to answer this question truthfully to themselves.

Disappointment goes both ways, it sucks. You can avoid it. Your purpose in life demands that you do.

No hard feelings; for the first time in my life, I have a clear mission. Getting to here has been lonely.

But in Jason’s words: “the pain to stay with the safety of mediocrity outweighed the pain of risking my future and relationships to go ALL-IN with what I’m meant to do in this life.

I’m grateful for those who have carried this flag with me. Nothing will stop us.

Honor the Struggle. Embrace the Suck.
