SERVE ONE ANOTHER

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13
“One Another” is a phrase used throughout the New Testament by various writers and in numerous contexts. As you learn to follow God, get ready! God is going to lead you in the direction of serving other people. It may never be recognized or applauded. There may never be any gratitude but, when you serve, you do what the Heavenly Father did for you. You are never more like Jesus than when you serve.
You are never more like Jesus than when you serve.
Do you serve, or do you serve yourself? When you wake up in the morning, your sinful nature craves someone to serve you. Make it a point, a habit, to wake up in the morning and say, “Holy Spirit, would You show me today how I can live by Your Spirit, and ways that I can see needs and meet them? May I be led by You today, Holy Spirit, to serve other people."
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. Mark 10:45
AN ILLUSTRATION FROM DR. TONY EVANS:
"TURKEYS are interested in one thing: eating. They can’t fly. They try, but they don’t go anywhere. They just take food in and waddle around. Wherever you see them, they are waddling—waddling and eating, but not flying. There are a lot of Christian turkeys today. They waddle in on Sunday morning and sit down to be fed. Then they get up and waddle out. Then they waddle back next Sunday to be fed before waddling out again … and they wonder why they can’t fly anywhere and why they are stuck at ground level."
