1 年One insightful perspective regarding Servant leadership is that it often begins with being a parent. Having a family and children is a privilege. When you become a parent, you are given a title, as in my example, "Dad." However, that means nothing to my child as a toddler or as a teenager. It's when my son chooses to follow me that I become more than just the title "Dad"; I become a Servant leader with an attitude of gratitude, leading by example. As a Servant leader, life is not easy, but it's essential to respect your parents, treat them well, and extend that respect and love to your spouse and children. Take the time to really listen to them. Lead by example and call your parents to show them respect and gratitude for bringing you into this world. Your children, friends, and your team will follow your example, and together, we will make the world a better place, one call and one conversation at a time. One actionable piece of advice I use myself when I am calling my parents is to listen to understand, not to respond when I communicate with them.
