About the company?

Its inception dating back to 1814s, Colman’s is definitely one of the pioneers of consumer companies founded in Norwich, English. After serving Sri Lankans’ taste buds for almost half a century, Colman’s is now offering vinegar, orange, and mango flavors to satisfy a wide array of family contexts.?

Problem the client wanted to address?

Colman’s Sri Lanka has a digital presence through a high-end website and active social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. Amidst the structured and outstanding social media strategy that we maintained, they wanted to run a campaign to make their consumers engage with their social media pages.?

Solution we catered?

As a promising digital agency who always caters the ideal solutions to the unique requirements of our clients, we identified the requirement to undertake a highly effective campaign to drive customer engagement. We further extended the comprehensive study we had already undertaken about Colman's target audience in order to implement the best solution.?

Execution?

Our exclusive engagement campaign was crafted around the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. The audience had to send an empty Colman’s packet via post with their contact details or take a selfie with a Colman’s packet and send it through messages to the page. In addition to that, two more campaigns were implemented by us to further increase engagement with the target audience.

Two more "Avurudu" games were used to provide the audience with a platform to further engage with the brand pages. In one of them, we invited the audience to upload a video of them imitating the sound of the "koha" bird to the comment section of the post, and the comment with the most likes was selected as the winner of the game.

The next campaign was also similar in structure, but the game was different. This game was to post a picture of yourself smiling, and the best smile was selected based on the number of likes the picture got. Lucky winners were selected and awarded with valuable gift packs

Results obtained?

These effective campaigns managed to boost the engagement of the audience while promoting the brand through user-generated content. As a result of incorporating the aforementioned factors, we were able to increase page reach by 1.1M%, page likes by 109.7K%, and page and post engagement by 1.2M%.?
