Launch of RWA.io?

We are excited to announce the launch of RWA.io, a global platform incubated by Defactor that aims to transform real-world asset tokenization by leveraging blockchain and AI. Our goal is to enhance liquidity, accessibility, and transparency while democratizing investment opportunities. We provide a full ecosystem supporting every stage of the asset tokenization process, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and security.

Introducing our new ambassador - Fernando Arenas

Starting with this month, we have a new Ambassador: Fernando Arenas . Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, he is now based in Bogotá, Colombia. Fernando has a law degree from Boston University and has spent the last 10 years as an e-commerce expert, making waves in the tech world. Having him in the team is a great advantage as he has an established presence in the Latin American market.

Token2049 and our side event “RWAs Get Real”

The Defactor team recently attended TOKEN2049 in Singapore, where we hosted our signature side event, "RWAs Get Real." We’re happy to announce that it was a success, as the event represented the spirit of Defactor: a relaxed evening with free drinks, food and great conversation in a cozy Irish pub. We were honored to host the RWA community and are looking forward to following up on our conversations and future partnerships.

European Blockchain Convention

Yannick Slenter, our product advisor, represented Defactor at the European Blockchain Convention in Barcelona. The convention showcased a strong focus on digital assets, primarily related to financial sectors, with many local banks in attendance. The event featured a dynamic mix of exchanges, protocols, and tokenization projects—some well-established, while others were promising startups.

ETHMilan

Our BD Associate, Daria, represented Defactor at ETHMilan 2024! She had some great conversations about RWAs and shared her expertise with the community. If you didn’t get a chance to connect with her, stay tuned for more opportunities in the future. She also posts great content on Linkedin, so make sure to follow her page as well here.

Challenge

We recently hosted a challenge on the TaskOn platform, where participants had the chance to win prizes including airdrops of up to 2500 FACTR tokens! We would like to congratulate all the winners and thank everyone who participated. Stay tuned, as more challenges and opportunities to earn airdrops will be coming soon.

X Spaces

Defactor’s team was part of three different X Spaces:

• One was In collaboration with Outlier Ventures. We hosted an X Space titled “Under the Hood: Outlier’s RWA Base Camp Accelerator”. The panel featured experts from Isle Finance, Silverkoix, Haraka, CredBull, and Credible Finance. Defactor mentored them during the base camp last summer and this discussion was about the achievements and the future of each project.

• Another one was organized by Elevex and Defactor's Growth Lead, Anastasia, shared her journey into the world of RWA and how her experience has shaped her role at Defactor. The discussion was about her career path, from her early steps in the RWA space, her current contributions to the project’s mission, and what she thinks of the future of Defactor.

The session brought key speakers from Aconomy Foundation, SurancePlus, and Tiamonds, among others.?This event served as a preview to TOKEN2049, offering valuable insights into the future of asset tokenization and its transformative potential in decentralized finance.?
