September Update

Another month down and that much closer to my goal!

At this point, it's done - I have already manifested a million dollars, I'm just waiting for reality to play catch up : )

And when I look back, I realize I actually achieved my goal on January 4th, when I published the manifesto for this challenge. When I publicly committed to improving myself and setting forth on a journey to become the person I needed to be to achieve that goal.

Not much else has changed other than me. I continue to get better and better every day in every way. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. I have improved every aspect of my life from my mindset to my relationships, to my work and hobbies, and well beyond. I have improved in ways I never even intended. This has been quite a remarkable journey and we've still got a quarter of the year left to go!

I'm excited about it - I'm having a lot of fun and at this point, I'm just enjoying watching the journey unfold.

As per the usual monthly update, here is my Profit and Loss to date:

But if you've been paying attention, you'll know this is not the place to look for progress towards my goal of $1M. Because if you'd only look here you'd say, fat chance!!

No, you see the answer is within. If you read between the lines above, that's where you can find the real progress. The fact that I've written 180 of these is the reason I achieve my goal. The fact that I will not stop until I do is the reason I do.

Let's start from the beginning

When I started this challenge, I was still selling LinkedIn Coaching and Services. I boiled the ocean at first until I realized I needed to boil my plan down to something simple: get on podcasts and sell courses. That's where I landed.

Then I joined a mastermind that taught me the playbook for the first half of that equation. Signing up for that mastermind was the first major milestone on this journey. The ticket into the 90-day program came with a $10,000 price tag but how could I say no? It was literally the exact blueprint I needed and the universe served it up to me on a silver platter!

The group and the content were well worth the investment but something more important happened here. The mere fact that I signed up changed my trajectory entirely. I had never invested anywhere close to that amount of money in myself before!

I was learning all of the practical knowledge I needed to intact my plan but when it came to learning how to manifest my goals, I was self-taught, writing this newsletter nightly and doing research on YouTube. But then, this very newsletter got me into a program that changed that.

Another $16,000 investment in myself was the universe asking me how badly I wanted this goal.

I said fuck it, I'm all in! So the universe rewarded me with the tools and knowledge I needed to change my life forever. Over and over again.

When I look back at the person I was in January, I don't even recognize myself. I keep asking how it could possibly get any better than this, and then it does.

There was a period of time when both of these programs crossed over. I was super overwhelmed at the time trying to run two businesses, raising two kids, and participating in these two programs. But through that perfect storm, I got slammed with a moment of inspiration.

And I blindly jumped

I decided to start a new business. Halfway through the year and my challenge of manifesting a million dollars, I decided to pull the rug out from under my feet and start over. I now had half the amount of time to do the same thing I planned on doing at the beginning of the year. But again, the money alone is not a good indicator of progression towards this goal.

With that major shift in strategy, EVERYTHING started aligning! My plan started to make a whole lot more sense. I was way more passionate about what I was building. I have been SO much more focused in this business than I was in the last or any other before.

And now I'm 3 months into this new business with zero revenue to show for it. I've got three months left to hit my goal.

So how do I plan to do it?

You see, the great part about this new company is that it's in an industry where raising large sums of money all at once is the norm : )

Via Kickstarter or Backerkit, people fund TTRPG projects all the time that often reach stretch goals of multiple millions of dollars. The game I've been developing for over a year now (which I was planning on publishing anyway) was the obvious answer that I could not see from the beginning of this challenge.

I've spent the last 3 months building the foundation I need to promote my game and launch a successful Kickstarter campaign. The biggest challenge now is obtaining a large enough audience in 3 months that will support this game. But I have a unique advantage.

My game is unlike any other in the space. Not only in the way that it plays, but it has a wonderful marketing engine that's built directly into the development of the game.

There are pockets of creators and players who have amassed significant and loyal followings. They have done so by crafting deep and compelling storylines over time. But it is difficult for them to collaborate with one another due to the nature of their game. Their campaigns are played out over years and it becomes extremely difficult to inject others into that story.

My game happens in a single night. So, over the past few weeks, I've been reaching out to all of these people to convince them to come play with me. Because by bringing our stories together we can share them with more people. It's a very unique way to promote one another and my game happens to sit at the very center of it all.

I have my plan

I am focused, excited, and have cultivated the right mindset. The only thing that can get in my way now is me. All I have to do is keep showing up, keep putting in the work, and the results will continue to follow.
