1- Jordan TRC Publishes New Type Approval Regulation The Telecommunications Regulation Commission (TRC) of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has published a new Type Approval Regulation, effective September 15, 2024. Key updates include: Certificate Validity: The validity of Type Approval certificates has been reduced from 3 years to 1 year. Labeling Requirements: Labels must be affixed in one of the following locations: Physically and/or electronically on the product and/or the outer packaging. In the user manual and/or device operating system. The labels should include: Manufacturer Name Brand Model Marketing Name IMEI for devices with a cellular module. Exemptions: Certain products are exempt from the new Type Approval Regulation: Printers, Copiers, Monitors, Desktop Computers, and Wired and Wireless Cameras without high-power radio functionality. Short-Range Devices (SRDs) that only support Bluetooth Technology. Satellite Television Receivers. Wired Phones without a radio communications module. These changes aim to streamline the approval process while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for telecommunications devices.

1- Thailand NBTC Updates on three draft NBTC announcements (Digital Broadcasting Services on Technical Issues)
As the meeting of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) No. 8/2567 on 10 April 2567 resolved to approve three draft NBTC announcements, namely:
???1. Draft NBTC Announcement on the Digital Broadcasting Frequency Plan???????????????
???2. Draft NBTC Announcement on Technical Standards for Digital Broadcasting Transmitters
???3. Draft NBTC Announcement on Technical Standards for Digital Broadcasting Receivers,???
by assigning the NBTC Office to submit the above draft announcements for public hearings in order to comply with Section 28 of the Radio Frequency Allocation and Telecommunications Business Regulation Act B.E. 2553 (2010) and amendments.

1- KSA/ The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has published a public consultation on the Spectrum Outlook for Commercial and Innovative Use (2024-2027). This initiative aims to enable modern and innovative technologies and foster investment in them, such as Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) through Direct-to-Device (D2D) satellite communication, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV-BVLOS), Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and the Internet of Things (IoT). This also includes supporting research on 6G networks, enabling private networks and other technologies, sharing future trends with stakeholders, establishing priorities for spectrum use, and maximizing the economic impact of spectrum use in Saudi Arabia.

a- HCKA 2001: Compliance test specification - safety and electrical protection requirements for subscriber telecommunications equipment.

b- HKCA 1084: Conformance specification for radiation safety of wireless devices.

c- HKCA 1039: Performance specification for radiocommunications apparatus operating in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band and employing frequency hopping or digital modulation.

1- On June 25, 2024 "TCRA" The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority published technical specification number TCRA/TS015, Version 1.0 for Short-Range Devices (SRDs).
This Specification defines the minimum technical requirements for Short Range Devices transmitters and receivers to operate in one of the authorized frequency bands or frequencies and transmit within the corresponding output power levels as Document Title: Minimum Technical Specifications for SRDs Document No: TCRA/TS015, Version 1.0 – June 2024 Page | 4 indicated in this document. Short Range Devices are intended for communications in confined areas of buildings as well as for localized on-site operations and services.
