How have you been?

I had a busy start after the summer and closed a couple of new clients for sales consulting and coaching. This is going to be my main focus moving forward, all under the umbrella of "Sales Enablement". More about that in further editions.

This month is all about training. My mate Richard Wright and I will be launching a course for freelancers and fractionals, teaching you how to position yourself and how to win business, pitch or present yourself on LinkedIn. Then, I have been to dmexco last week. Some of you might remember the show being called OMD and it was in one exhibition hall in 2006. It now covers 3 halls and many more vendors, and it's the annual get together of the adtech industry in Europe. I returned after a 5 year break, and it was good to be back. I enjoyed being back in my old stomping ground, selling a similar solution to what I sold 8 years ago - somewhat the industry hasn't changed too much ??

I am not sure if that picture is more about Arnie or myself, which is why I chose it. Arnie likes to sit with me, so he can see out of the window. In this particular case, he wanted to watch the builders.

My one ask this month: I continue to look for more connections in the sales enablement and revenue intelligence space. The more I speak to companies about it, the more interest there is. I can't believe that we haven't seen a stronger growth for revenue intelligence platforms before.

Even in my consulting assignments, getting the right data is key to report to the board, forecast and base decisions on. Too often people are still using excel files and gut feel to forecast ??

This needs to change!
