As we step into September, a month that bridges winter’s retreat and the promise of spring, Like the first signs of spring, budding relationships lay the groundwork for future growth and opportunity. I’m reminded of the significance of intentionality in our actions—especially in how we network.

Networking is often misunderstood. It’s not just about collecting business cards or increasing your LinkedIn connections. At its core, networking is about building genuine, meaningful relationships that can propel your business forward. But here’s the truth: networking isn’t a passive activity. It requires effort, curiosity, and a willingness to engage deeply with others.


Effort: The Key to Unlocking Networking Potential

Just like any other business strategy, networking demands your time, energy, and focus. Showing up to events, whether online or in-person, is just the first step. The real magic happens when you actively participate—when you listen more than you talk, ask insightful questions, and follow up after initial meetings.

It’s about consistency. It’s about making the conscious choice to be present and engaged, rather than just ticking a box. Networking, when done with intention, transforms from a routine task into a powerful tool that fosters growth and opportunity.
