Dear Community,

things are constantly changing. There are different tools to use, to get in touch with partners, friends, family or business contacts. This is one of them. You might have already checked out my LinkedIn series “What’s Up Next” where I tell you about the newest trends in tourism. Well, this will be also part of this newsletter, as well as upcoming events, new partners in our network and so much more.

So, let’s get the ball rolling…

I am currently on my way to the Inspire Me Award by LuxusInsider to Hamburg, which is the No.1 B2B trade magazine for luxury tourism. It is a great pleasure and honor that our newest addition to the loop family – loop wellbeing has been nominated for the Top Industry Event of the Year.?We are keeping our fingers crossed!

The good thing, during my train journey, I have enough time to share some facts & trends with you.

Fact: Sustainability is becoming more and more important. That’s a fact and none of the surprising ones. Hotel guests are increasingly interested in ways to protect the environment. When we talk about sustainability and environmental love, you cannot get past Alois Seyrling. He runs the Hotel Klosterbr?u in the sixth generation together with his wife and is also chairman of the Seefeld Tourism Association. They even created their own Think.Younique philosophy where it’s all about sustainable acts. Thus, unique pilot projects for sustainable travel have been initiated, further benefits for public travel to and from the hotel are created: eggs and honey come from the hotel's own farm, the main energy source for heat is organic local heat from Seefeld and electricity is covered 100% by green electricity providers. Another energy source: a solar panel for heating the swimming pools, and photovoltaics have been added to cover basic electricity needs. State-of-the-art energy management in partnership with SIEMENS for CO2 reduction and the hotel is a member of the "Green Pearls Unique Places" association, which specializes in sustainable concepts.

Trend: The head of the Business Administration - Food Management course at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Heilbronn/Germany presents the eight current megatrends in gastronomy from a scientific perspective:

1. Light on resources & climate-friendly (once again!)

2. Plant-based

3. Smart proteins

4. Fair for humans and animals

5. Healthy 6. Transparency

7. Convenience

8. Digitalization and new technologies

Networking is just in my veins. Does that sound familiar to you? That’s why we have created multiple fantastic networking opportunities around the year to meet with high quality partners. Check out our upcoming events on our website: https://www.loop-luxury-fair.com/en/event-calendar

Have a lovely week and talk to you soon.

Yours Astrid
