Was September the month LinkedIn got political?
Richard Leader
Fractional CMO & Coach: Helping businesses, teams and people grow
I try not to go on Xwitter very often these days, partly because I can't help myself with the political baiting game. LinkedIn has always been much less of a political space - that was until the UK government started shredding the green agenda in September this year.
The anger that people are showing on LinkedIn is something I'm not sure I was prepared for.
I'm not going to replay the arguments here, but suffice to say, I think we need to keep green tech on track in this country and I've reduced my day-rates in this area for the rest of this year >> Here's the link to my post on green tech
(Note you can choose not to see political content on LinkedIn by adjusting your Settings - I don't know how successful it is, but there's an article on the subject here.)
Future Fintech series
I've started a new series of posts on the future of fintech, based around interviews with business leaders making a difference in this area. This month, I was pleased to speak with Emily at Wagestream, Robert at Plend and Youssef at Nosso on the subject of financial inclusion - check out the long read here.
If you'd like to be included in future articles, please drop me a message.

Getting personal
Personality is often the key to success in marketing - I've given a few tips here...
More shameless self-promotion
If you'd like to chat about your business and to see whether a fractional CMO might be the right step forward, feel free to book in a no-obligation call - book in on Calendly.
I'm also keen to speak to people who are looking for coaching and mentoring - whether it's for senior executives or more junior marketing folk (particularly those who may be looking to take a step-up)!
Onward into October
Watch out this month for more interview-based articles - there's a good one coming up with the founder of a product and brand agency and I hope to bring you the next edition of the Future of Fintech series. That said, I've also got a family holiday to squeeze in - our first in 2 years.
Have a great month!
