Since announcing my newest venture into consulting, I‘ve already learned so much and have been able to meet so many new people.

Here’s what I'm bringing to the table ??

I can help internal audit teams integrate a data-driven approach for their audit processes, making planning, testing, and reporting more efficient. No more spending days manually sorting the data to get to a population or judgmentally selecting samples to perform tests. With today's landscape, we need to be able to free ourselves up for the more important tasks as an auditor, like risk mitigation.

I’ve successfully guided other audit departments in adopting analytics and AI solutions, and I’m eager to help more teams embrace this data-driven approach!!

2nd Annual Big Data & Analytics Montreal Summit 2024

A few of my friends and I hosted a panel, discussing what leaders should be looking for to build strong data teams, and the answer is a team with a diverse set of skills!

This event was all about bringing together leaders in the AI hub in Canada to help build strong data foundations.? We had a fun time, thank you to the organizers of this event for inviting us!

ISACA Phoenix Security and Audit Conference

ISACA is a professional association that I have been a part of since I graduated college that provides IT professionals with knowledge, credentials, training and community in audit, governance, risk, privacy and cybersecurity.??

I presented TWICE at the event this year, and boy was that a blast!!

I hosted a panel with one of my friends, Michael Keiffer .? We talked about all the different tools you can use for data analytics in the audit space, as well as all the different kinds of problems you can solve using those tools.

I also gave a talk about how you should be Safeguarding Sensitive Information.? A lot of the data that us auditors have to test involve PII data like names and addresses, so it’s really important that you know how to protect that data so it doesn’t get in the wrong hands.? I did run into a few weird technical gremlins, part of the reason why I don’t have any good pics, but I managed to pull through, ha!
