Capacity Update

Advanced Air (AN)

  • Announced and filed new seasonal service from ABQ to Angel Fire, NM (AXX) starting in December.

Alaska (AS)

  • Filed two Consumer Electronic Show (CES) routes in January to LAS: JFK and SJC.

Breeze (MX)

  • Announced and filed four new IAD routes starting in the fall:
  • OGS (Essential Air Service route) starting September 27.
  • PVU starting October 1.
  • SBN starting November 8.
  • VRB starting November 21.
  • Removed two MSY routes from future schedules due to aircraft delivery delays: LAS and LAX.

Contour (LF)

  • Filed new service from MBL to ORD starting in October. Contour will replace Cape Air for the EAS contract. The first year of the contract is for $6.8m for 12 weekly roundtrips to ORD.

Delta (DL)

  • Announced and filed seven new and resuming international routes for Summer 2025: resuming routes include ATL to Brussels, Belgium (BRU) and MSP to Rome, Italy (FCO). New routes include: ATL to Naples, Italy (NAP); BOS to Barcelona, Spain (BCN) and Milan, Italy (MXP); JFK to Catania, Italy (CTA); and DTW to Dublin, Ireland (DUB).
  • Cancelled service from JFK to Munich, Germany (MUC) from March onward.
  • Delta also filed three new BOS domestic routes: AVL (from May); BZN (from December); and PNS (in April).
  • They pushed back the start of seasonal international service to mid-April on five routes.
  • Resumed service from BZN to JFK and SEA in December. JFK service was last served in September 2022 and SEA service was last served in September 2021.
  • Resumed service from SEA to SUN from December through March. Delta last served the market in August 2017.
  • Suspended service from SLC to CPR from December 4 onward. If this is an exit, only United will serve CPR from Denver.
  • Suspended service from LGA to PVD from December 24 onward.
  • Added special flights for the University of Kentucky basketball game at Madison Square Garden on December 21st (LEX to LGA).

Frontier (F9)

  • Suspended 35 routes from November through early December, reducing capacity 1% week over week in November.

SAS (SK)

  • Announced and filed new service from Oslo, Norway (OSL) to JFK starting on March 30 and resumed service from Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH) to SEA from May 21 onward.

United (UA)

  • Filed 13 additional routes for fall NFL football games. The flights are currently filed as restricted in Diio Mi and don't appear to be selling on United.com yet.

Loved reading this! Thanks for the update. It will be interesting to see if breeze will ever puraches a direct airway from KIAD to KSLC. It will be pricey, im sure both airports will charge a huge fee. Yet if breeze does that it will be a competitor for delta our of slc.
