September 2024:?Reunion
Introduction
In this article, I’ll share my progress on the tasks I planned for September.
1. Final Year Studies at?UH
My main focus for September has been starting my final year at the 英国赫特福德大学 , where I’m specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our curriculum includes a mix of general Computer Science modules, which we take with students from other specialties, and AI-specific modules tailored to our field.
In the first semester, I’m studying the following modules:
We have three days of classes each week, so a lot of self-study is required. “Software Architecture” is a core module taken by all Computer Science students, as it covers essential skills for everyone in the field. The AI-specific modules focus on deepening our expertise in AI, and we are also required to complete a Final Year Project, which is crucial for applying the knowledge we’ve gained and demonstrating our skills.
Additionally, since my initial visa was for three years and I completed a one-year Study Abroad program at 加拿大肯高迪亚大学 in Canada, I had to apply for a visa extension to finish my studies in the UK.
2. Personal?Project
This month, I continued working part-time at Cloud Initiatives Inc , where I previously interned. I contributed to a new project called CourseMatix , which helps colleges enhance their CIS and CS programs with hands-on labs.
In the past month, I’ve practiced and improved a few key skills:
3. My LeetCode?Journey

I solve problems on LeetCode regularly to strengthen my problem-solving skills and prepare for coding interviews. This month, I worked on topics like arrays, linked lists, trees, hash tables, mathematics, dynamic programming, and bit manipulation. These challenges are helping me build a deeper understanding of algorithms and data structures.

5. My September Medium?Article
I haven’t published any articles in September, but I want to share my experience returning to the UK after a year in Canada. Coming back felt like home, and I was excited to reconnect with familiar places.
I have started attending university classes and met some of my coursemates. While most have graduated, it was great to see a few who are still here after placements or study abroad programs.
With the new academic year starting, many events are planned, including the Freshers’ event and a part-time job fair. I also attended a “Welcome Back” event organized by the Study Abroad team, where we shared updates and played games guessing the countries we visited based on clues. It was helpful to learn how to highlight our study abroad experiences on our resumes, and we even met future exchange students.
Additionally, I rejoined Taekwondo after a year away. I really missed the classes, and I’m enjoying them again. The supportive community is wonderful, and practicing improves my physical and mental health. Each session leaves me tired but happy, providing a nice break from university life.
Conclusion
September was exciting as I began my final year at university and reconnected with friends after returning from Canada.
