This week as we prepare for this year's Make UK National Manufacturing Day we were pleased to welcome a visit from our local Labour MP, Helena Dollimore at our main factory, hosted by our MD Gary Stevens. This followed our Head of Strategic Partnerships, Duncan Ray's recent visit to Westminster with 1066 Manufacturers.

Focus SB is shortlisted in the Chamber Business Awards!
We’re delighted to have received good news from Shevaun Haviland, Director General British Chambers of Commerce congratulating us on our achievement in being shortlisted in the regional and national British Chamber Business Awards and wishing us good luck in the next round.
In June, Focus SB was awarded the Equality Trailblazer for Diversity and Inclusion winner trophy at a prestigious Sussex Chamber awards event hosted by Strictly Come Dancing celebrity Brendan Cole when we were put forward to compete for the coveted Chamber Business Awards.
Make UK National Manufacturing Day
This Thursday sees us celebrating Make UK Manufacturing Day when we look forward to welcoming visitors and special guests to our head office and main factory at Napier Road, St Leonards on Sea to discover how we manufacture products such as our Renaissance flat screwless plate shown below.
Local Labour Councillor and Hastings Mayor, Judy Rogers is to support the event together with Nick Hayler, Director of Member Services & Head of Building Electrical Systems at BEAMA, the UK trade association for manufacturers and providers of energy infrastructure technologies and systems.
Fhaheen Khan, Senior Economist at Make UK, the manufacturers' organisation in the UK is to attend the event at Focus SB's factory on the day. Mr Khan provides insights and analysis on various economic issues affecting the manufacturing sector, including the impact of government policies, economic trends, and challenges such as inflation and energy costs.
