Based on the current "best estimate," European milk collections appear to have contracted in September compared to the same period last year, although there are some positive highlights within the data.

• September 2023 was a dismal month for French milk output, the lowest September since 2009, which made the 3.2% YoY increase in September 2024 less impressive.
