?? Things that STACK
The first stacking chair was designed in 1934 by German architect Bruno Matthson as a solution to crowded spaces and the need for easily stored seating. However, it was British designer Robin Day who revolutionized this concept in 1963 with his Polypropylene Chair, the first mass-produced plastic stacking chair. Day's design, created for the Royal Festival Hall, combined affordability, durability, and space-saving capabilities, quickly becoming a staple in schools, event venues, and public spaces. Stacking chairs are a perfect example of how thoughtful design can meet the demands of modern life, making the most of limited space while maintaining both functionality and aesthetic appeal.?
