YMCA Launches New Brand Campaign

Today is a special day for our charity as we’re excited to share that we have launched our first-ever national Shine On brand awareness campaign! YMCAs across Canada have united to launch this campaign, joining forces to bring attention to the Y in a way we never have before. Throughout the fall, millions of Canadians will see our ads across TV, streaming, and digital platforms, spreading our message of belonging, support, and empowerment to every corner of the country.??

The campaign emphasizes the importance of belonging, meaningful employment, and physical and mental health. It conveys that no matter the obstacles or setbacks, the Y is a welcoming place offering support, positivity, and guidance, empowering individuals to achieve their full potential. It will also highlight the life-changing difference the Y can make in people’s lives, showing potential donors the incredible impact they can help make possible by giving to our charity.??

This will amplify our efforts to connect more people to the Y — at a time when they need our critical programs and supports more than ever. Keep your ears and eyes open for the campaign, share it on social, and tell your friends and family. Get Ready to Roar with Laughter at our Upcoming YMCA Roaring Social Gala!

We're thrilled to announce that the hilarious Adam Growe will be hosting our Roaring Social Gala! Not only is Adam an incredible comedian with a resume that includes "Just for Laughs" and "Comedy NOW!", but he's also the beloved former host of Canada's "Cash Cab". You may have heard him on boom97.3fm, where he keeps listeners entertained every Sunday.

Last Chance to Register - Escape in the Landscape Programs Start Soon!

Escape in the Landscape is back this fall! This programs offers nature immersion activities lead by qualified staff for children in Junior Kindergarten to 14 years of age. Through experimentation, peer-to-peer learning and storytelling, your child will be encouraged to discover new experiences and skills, all while making lasting friendships and developing a love of the great outdoors. During this memorable program, children will:

• Learn about the land and how to be environmental caretakers
• Connect with nature and build self-confidence
• Improve their mental and physical health
• Be curious, resilient, and motivated to make a difference

Spaces are limited and the sessions begin mid-September. This fall, sessions will be offered in Wasaga Beach, Barrie, Innisfil, Collingwood, Hawkestone, and Midland.?Registration is now open through the YMCA Online Portal!
