Seong-Jin Cho: Artist-in-Residence of the Berliner Philharmoniker
We are delighted to announce that pianist, Seong-Jin Cho, is the Artist in Residence of the Berliner Philharmoniker for the 2024/25 season. Since his debut in 2017, Seong-Jin Cho has worked intensively with the orchestra on several projects, including touring to his home country, South Korea.
On this exciting and prestigious role, Cho spoke passionately about the Berliner Philharmoniker, saying:
I have the greatest respect for this orchestra – these are all great musicians and great people.
Over the 2024/25 season, Cho will have concerto performances with the orchestra in October 2024, March 2025 and April 2025 as well as offering two unique chamber music evenings, one with musicians from the Berliner Philharmoniker and the other with members of the Herbert-von-Karajan-Akademie in January 2025. His season as Artist in Residence of this distinguished orchestra will conclude with a Ravel evening in April 2025 featuring all of the French impressionist’s solo piano works.
