SEO: You're Doing it Wrong.
I don't do paid guest posting on my blog (JeremyMorgan.com)
I repeat I do not do paid guest posting. and I will not. Here's why:
The primary reason: This blog is built for fun. I've produced a ton of content over the years and it's always under the guidance of someone else. My blog is the place where I call the shots and do whatever I want. For fun. It just happens to have gained an audience from that. There is no go to market motion with this site. It's fun.?
The second reason: You mention in your email the site has great search engine value. Which is true. Because I haven't let spammers pay their way into flooding it with dumb articles. I'm not going to start now. I provide useful content (or try to) and Google rewards that. You should try it.?
Third: Though I have no marketing plan for the website I do respect the readers as if they were customers. I'm pretty sure they don't go to the website to learn about your awesome pillow, or cool health supplement. Your AI generated article with tons of links will turn them away, rightly so.?
I'm posting this here because many requests come through LinkedIn, so rather than give a reply to everyone, I'll just send a link to this post. Saves us both time.
I don't mind sponsored ads when it's something relevant to my audience. But I won't do paid guest posts and links to irrelevant products to improve your search engine rankings. Spoiler alert: it won't work for you anyway. Everyone is doing this. Good content marketing is not link spamming and SEO hacking, it's providing something of value to readers so they come back and even share your content.?
