New Ranking Section of Google Search Status Dashboard

Google has added a new Ranking section to the Search Status Dashboard, where users can active updates alongside history up to 2020.

March Core Algorithm Update

... This brings us to our next piece of big SEO news - the March 2023 Core Algorithm Update.

This is the first Google core update of the year, announced to us on March 15th.

The rollout was completed by March 28th.

Worth keeping an eye on your analytics and rankings to see how/if your site has been affected.

Google Bard

Google released testing of Bard in competition with Bing’s Chat GPT beta.

As you can see, it needs some work...

And it currently has some limitations.

New Features to Google Perspectives

Google is releasing new features to Google Perspectives.

• “About this result” is rolling out globally?
• Adding Perspectives for news stories
• Launching “about this author”

Changes to Core Web Vitals

Google is changing the threshold for how much user data a URL needs to be reported in the CWV report.

This means more data, and we might see a spike in issues.
