"SEO for Consultants... Really? What are they thinking? How?can it differ from... well... SEO period."
I will disagree. And a?bunch of us at Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center and ? Phase2Careers would debate those assumptions?too.
That is why we came up with a webinar on SEO that is especially designed for consultants. It will take place tomorrow - Tuesday, October 18th, from 6 to 8PM P.D.T. and on Zoom. If you are in the #BayArea (and only if...) you may want to attend!?
By the time you?end reading this post, I hope to have convinced you that maybe, just maybe, there is some SEO- related things that we need to discuss specifically for consulting business owners.

You already know there are 6 types of SEO: on-page, off-page, technical, local, app store optimization, and You Tube?optimization.
Wait... You didn't know that? Then you definitely need to attend tomorrow!?
Depending on whether yours is a?global consulting business truly geographically?detached... or whether you have a large presence on YouTube, the importance of those 6 types of SEO may weigh differently for your website.?
But whatever the case may be, three things that should be paramount in your time (and money?) SEO investment are your reputation, trustworthiness and authority. Why? Because for better or worse Google dictates your numbers in prospects, in leads and in clients. And?Google prioritizes sites that demonstrate “expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness.”??
You may say that these values are just as important?for an e-commerce website. And yes: you expect the newest gadget you just bought online not to break the first time you use it (oops...). However, and in most?cases, your consulting business brand *is* your personal brand, and therefore?your?site needs to show *you* as authoritative, trustworthy and reputable.?
On my next article, which I will post after our session together tomorrow, I will start unraveling some content and technology optimization strategies. These will include looking at types of searcher's intent - informational, investigational, transactional and navigational - and how they affect your keywords.
