SEO for Beginners.

What is SEO?

Most of the time you think what is SEO? What does SEO have to do with websites? Why SEO is so important in the current era. Well, you are not alone who has these questions. Metamorphically SEO is like you getting dressed in a way that everybody notices you when you go to a party, SEO is like the things you do to grab attention.

SEO is search engine optimization which means optimizing or making changes to your websites in such a way that search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, Baidu, AOL, Duckduckgo, Yandex, etc can list your website in the search engine results page, shortly called, SERP; and give your website rank in the first page, second page or any other page based on the optimizations you have made on your website along with other factors.

Now you might be thinking how is SEO similar to getting dressed in a way that everybody notices you right? Here's the answer.

Let's suppose, You are good looking by birth. (Considering you like the website). You have good knowledge (considering you like the content and information on the website). But you want to go to a party where there will be many people(considering other websites ). Now what you do to look out of the world or to grab people's attention?? (Means here I am comparing what things would a website have to have to grab attention and rank in a SERP).

The answer is, you do Makeup, dress well, Talk nicely, greet nicely, and there will be people who would praise you in front of other people. (Here I am comparing these makeup, dress up, etc as the techniques that should be done to get your website rank in SERP).

Got the point?

Now, what happens if you don't do makeup, talk well, etc(comparing this metamorphiocally, which means if you don't do SEO)then people won't be talking to you or maybe you will feel lonely, (which means your website will have no traffic or visitors because your website has no good content or optimizations.)

So a webpage without SEO is just a normal person in a Party who has no qualities to grab the attention of people. Similar is the situation of a website on the world wide web which is metamorphically a big party.

Now, what if a person is very very knowledgeable and has a great personality. Won't he be recognized?? yes, of course, now that person can be compared here as the best content of the website.

Now you might be thinking how the SEO is done on a website. Well, that's easy to say but a bit hard to implement.

There are certain factors that should be kept in mind while building a website. Search engines prefer those sites which follow these factors. However, those factors are not hard and fast and apply to conditionally to some niche.

Google search engine considers more than 200+ factors to decide whether a website's link or a webpage link should be ranked in the 1st position of the 1st page, the 2nd position of the 1st page and so on or 1st position of the 2nd page and the count goes on.

A website that has these qualities qualify for search engines to consider them for ranking:

• If a website has great quality content.
• if the website is user-friendly and easy to navigate
• if the website loading speed is fast enough so that people don't have to wait long.
• If the website is responsive which means the website must have an interface whose layout is flexible for easy view in different devices like desktop, laptop, tablets, smartphones, game consoles, etc.
• If the website has a good number of referral links, which means whether there are other good websites or popular websites who have given your website link on their website for some good content on your website

Well, these are just tips of an iceberg.

The SEO is simply the optimizing of all pages of websites such that the website links, when queried in search engines can be found on the first page of the SERP.

Now let's see very shortly to understand how Google or other search engines display the list of website links to the words you have typed in the google search bar.

The words that you put in the google.com search bar are the keywords.

Step 1. Google searches these words in their database of websites that are categorized based on the keywords you typed.

Step 2. After it has found those websites that have the keywords you were searching for, Google now determines those factors of SEO in the websites and decides which website link should be displayed in the 1st rank or 2nd rank or 3rd rank or in which page, the first the second and so on.
