State of the States

In Arizona,?the state Court of Appeals?upheld more than $47,000 in sanctions against Mark Finchem for a baseless election challenge. Finchem lost the 2022 secretary of state’s race by 120,000 votes, then challenged the result in a lawsuit that made unsupported claims of misconduct. A judge dismissed that lawsuit in December 2022 and later?imposed the sanctions, finding that Finchem’s challenge was “groundless and not brought in good faith.”??
