At Sensara, we've focused all our innovation and technology efforts into improving the TV experience. In the last year, we've converged on offering all our core features in a well-packaged TV experience in the Sensy launcher - a boot up screen for the Smart TV.

In the coming weeks, the Sensy A.I.-powered Hybrid launcher will be available to users through our TV brand partners. These Smart TVs will be augmented by our Sensy STB Controller - giving the Smart TVs extra power to rule Set-top Boxes.

For us, your Smart TV is one screen - where all forms of TV converge. Whether you like watching Broadcast TV, or TV from the Internet through Apps, our launcher will bring the best of both worlds together in one seamless experience.

Our home page organizes content you'd like, from your most watched TV sources - from Broadcast and your favourite apps in one relevant page. Our home page is designed to give you the most useful shows to watch - without subjecting you to overload.

We've packed in a lot of Artificial Intelligence, Metadata, Search and Recommendation Technology into this:

The best EPG available for Indian Television: Through our partners Gracenote (a Nielsen Company), we've packed a live updating picture-based EPG for Indian Television that covers more than 600 channels, across 16 languages, with more than 15,000 shows and 100,000 episodes running every week, and more than 4000 TV operators. Every show on TV is augmented with metadata and content available on Wikipedia, Youtube and social media. We've supported more than 400 different types of Set-top boxes in the country.

A topic graph for Indian Television: We've stored and labelled more than 280K topics relevant for Indian television that includes actors, directors, shows, channels, topics, and genres. Detailed relationships between these are maintained on a regular basis. When you see all these people related to Akshay Kumar, you can witness our algorithms at work that automatically figure people closely associated with him.

Deep links from TV Apps are crawled to provide referrals from related contexts: We've crawled about 450K relevant videos from Apps relevant to Indian Television through their public websites, understood the content they represent to recommend "deep" links to them from various contexts from inside our Launcher. For every show you watch on TV - we look through these potential 450K videos to pick the best ones suited for you. The next time you are watching a show and see some good suggestions from apps, you know this recommender system is hard at work. Apps that already support Android's standard deep links protocol will readily work with the Sensy-launcher. No special API exchange is necessary. To this effect, we invite TV App developers to accelerate their adoption of deep links. It's good for the apps, the industry and elevates user experience too.

The best search engine for Indian Television: Sensy's search engine has been indexing TV for more than 3 years now, and till date our TV Guide app has been used by more than 10 million unique users, that have searched at least 7 million times. Sensy's search engine can understand free form text queries like, "show me Hindi romantic movies with Salman Khan on HD channels" - and makes use of the sophisticated topic graph that understands queries for their meaning and then presents results. With Television increasingly becoming voice-enabled a good NLP engine becomes a necessity. Sensy's search engine does the job.

The only Smart TV OS that supports Instant Personalisation: Sensy believes in a user-first approach to content discovery. Every user and family's taste is different when it comes to TV. Through the years, on Sensy, users have favourited more than 1 million times to help themselves get tailored recommendations on TV. Sensy also learns from usage behaviour - and has personalized the TV Guide based on more than 8 million channel switches that have gone through the Sensy system. All our learnings from these events have helped the launcher in its design. The Sensy launcher changes itself based on your language preferences, based on the actors you like, the channels and shows you favourite. The best mobile support for a Smart TV: Our popular Sensy app on smartphones continues to be a favourite among users. Now, with the Sensy Launcher on Smart TVs, the app works as a perfect companion for the Smart TV. When the Sensy app on the mobile is opened in the same WiFi network as the Smart TV, it knows the presence of the Sensy Launcher and automatically pairs with it. Any commands you do on the Sensy app automatically perform actions on the TV. You can voice-control your TV from the phone, switch from Broadcast TV to content from apps with ease.

Support for Alexa: Sensy-powered Smart TVs work with Alexa. With the Sensy skill for Alexa, owners of Amazon Echo devices can just ask Alexa to switch to their favourite channels - without even touching a remote. "Alexa, ask Sensy to switch to Star Plus HD". Works like magic. Welcome to a touch-less experience on TVs.

TV Moments: The latest in TV innovation, Sensy's technology automatically identifies interesting moments in your TV session, and creates pages right on your Smart TV - for you to interact with. So far, we have indexed 100s of 1000s of actors, songs, news personalities, and products that appear on TV.
