On Sensitivity: A Message to You, Wherever You Are

On Sensitivity: A Message to You, Wherever You Are

I am sitting here on a quiet morning writing this to you.  I may or may not know you, but right at this moment we are within each other’s awareness.  And since you are reading already, my friend, read on- because this message, then, is meant for you.

Some days are filled with the feeling of strength and balance; other days, maybe not so much.  Today is one of those days, where everything - both inside and out - feels particularly sensitive.

I am keenly aware of my inner world, more and more with each passing year.  And with the work that I have done, both personally and professionally, my connection to it and understanding of it has become even more pronounced and profound.

But here’s the thing, this discovery is a life-long journey.  There is never a day when I feel like: Whelp, that’s a wrap, I know it all now.  And on the few youthful occasions that I momentarily slipped into that ideation, I received an ample serving of humble pie.  So the work continues, with its dynamic ebb and flow.

But right now this feeling of sensitivity keeps pulling at me, rolling within me. I looked at social media, and abounding through friend’s pages, there was the same sentiment, echoing.  Something that is within us is also within the air.  There is a big change happening, a change of cosmic proportions, and we are right in the mix.

This is not an excerpt from some spooky sci-fi fiction novel; there is most-assuredly a monumental shift.  I look at my meditation timer each day, and see the hundreds, even sometimes thousands, of people with whom I am meditating at a given moment from around the world.  And those are just the people who are using that same application.  All of these minds moving with awareness into the collective consciousness together, all of those energy centers unflappably connecting, with greater strength each time.

It feels more important than ever that we conscientiously bring forward these sacred conversations with sensitivity.  Here is a critical point: no one else can do the work of self-discovery for us.  We must ourselves assimilate our progress within.  But we can make sense of it and how it fits into our world, as well as help support others along their way, by talking and sharing about it.  This personal exploration has its joys, and most assuredly also has its challenges.   Some people rejoice in it all, splashing in the water, while others feel overwhelmed and water-logged.  It can come and go, every ripple made has a cause and effect, and we are all in it together.  Shall we help each other navigate the waters?  Everything depends on it, and we can all do it, from wherever we are.

You may or may not agree with what I have written here.  Either way, I invite you to share with me your thoughts.  You can email me at [email protected] or Join My Mailing List (the emails are made and personally sent by me).  Bright Blessings, always.  ~Jennifer Lipski
