Sensitive in Business is something never considered. The business world can be too demanding for sensitive people who don't want the roughness of that world in their lives. However, sensitive people want to do business too. What tools does a sensitive person need to develop, to be able to thrive in business and life?
Up front, I can name a few:
- Establish Clear Boundaries!
- Say NO!
- Trust your Guts!
- Grow Self-Confidence!

Using sentences such as: "I chose to do This" or "I chose NOT to do This!" a sensitive person brings the power into her/his hands. It's a question of what choice is made in every moment because every moment in life is a "turnover moment". Let's start by choosing to grow self-confidence there are many tools available, some tools that worked for me are: to be knowledgeable in the area I am investing in, so I can realistically set my goals; Acknowledge my strengths and talents and use them always, so I receive my positive feedback as an outcome; Stop self-sabotage by using positive "mind talks" to myself; Surround with 2 or 3 people I trust and who are role models to follow - to whom I can ask straight forward questions on how to take action.
Establish clear boundaries: We don't live in an open garden, we can havhite fences, bushes, doors, or other things to define the limits we want between the world and us. Sensitive people usually lack boundaries because they want to help the world, but many people only want to help themselves by running over all the others around them. And if you are sensitive, you feel me right? What happens is, not everyone is tuned in the same frequency. Not everyone wants to help the world. Defining healthy boundaries safeguards the sensitive person not to get hurt and be able to pursue their dreams and make them a reality. So, please: "Take your time, push the pause button and consider the pros and cons, only after making a decision."
Say NO!: If No is the right word for that moment, just say it! Sensitive people have to step up and say IT because if we don't, life will swallow us so fast that we hardly realize what happened. For sensitive people, life provides a lot, but we must learn how to choose wisely. All choices bring duality and it's a must to learn when it's time to say YES, and when it's time to say NO. We should use our senses in our favour, accept when a choice is not good for us, and make peace with the decision. Saying NO doesn't make us bad people, on the contrary, makes us stronger and more determined.
Trust your GUTS: Believe in your instinct, even when others don't. Remember "YOU KNOW BETTER" what you set for yourself, not others. Only you are the one who knows the "whole story". So, align with your story, trust your guts and choose wisely what is aligned with your instinct. What is not aligned, live on the side with kindness and care as you know how to do.
By following some easy steps a sensitive person can go into the world with a strong sense of mission, that is inherent to us - it's as if it is in our DNA. Start somewhere and initiate the first step, and then the path will unfold. The rest is like learning to walk: one foot in front of the other, sometimes we lose balance, and sometimes we even fall, but it's part of the process of life. Let's embrace sensitivity with proactive and strong decision-making. By walking this path we bring kindness and love to this beloved planet we call Earth.
