Sense of security & safety...

The whole world, especially the brighter part, along with our continent is going through an acute phase of panic. CORONA broke out as pandemic and claimed a big number of life in a very short span of time. Slowly but surely our country is also getting affected by this unknown virus COVID-19. Major portion of locality has been taken under lockdown just to prevent contamination. Govt officials and health industry people are fighting tirelessly to combat the possible epidemic. And we people are too much busy with news, discussions, exchange of thoughts. All about CORONA.

When a dark phase comes, it comes with some ray of lights also. It fully depends on us whether we’ll continue to look at the darkness or try to find the ray to enjoy it’s brightness. There are 2 interesting findings in such a crunch time.

1.      We love ourselves more amidst disaster.

2.      We start caring for others without disbelief.

Problem sensing indications! Okay, let’s get into detail.

1.      The most common reflex of human psychology is self defense. Be it formatted or impromptu situation, whenever we sense anything dangerous, frightening or harmful, our sensory organs become extra active. We always can hear words and sounds. But when we smell something conspiring, we try to listen minutely, we try to read whispers, glares of others eyes, techniques of whistles and all sorts of symbolic communications that trigger our sense of defense. That’s why when we witness accidents on road, we instantly become safe driver. It’s a temporary mindset. Slowly we get confidence back and start rolling wheels by own style. But as long as the vibration of that incident lasts in our thought process, we behave cautiously. It’s a common trait. Rare are those people who are supposed to keep strong nerve and never get distracted by any unexpected happening that can cause harm to him/her also. Can you match the situation? Nowadays our whole thought process is cantered into CORONA. We are talking about it, discussing about the effect, sermonizing others to take proper care. Though mortality rate is much low in comparison to previous pandemics, the pace with which it’s spreading and news of new deaths is making us worried as well as more devoted to self care. We all love ourselves all the time, but during disasters as long as we are physically well, we pay more attention to be fit for longer time. Be it discussion over telephone or social media, we all are doing that exercise continuously. We are loving more, caring more simply because we don’t know our enemy. We don’t even know from what angle we can get infected. We are taking all possible cautions. We are using all possible protective gears. More than 200 flu viruses are there in the air. How many of us were so crazy about N-95 masks and alcohol based sanitizers!! Simple reason is we started loving ourselves more to face the threat. What about the idea of being over protective throughout the year? Think of it.

Lockdown will finish, quarantine phase will be over and one day you’ve to shift your life into busy mode again. Your brain will be scattered with various thoughts, plans, presentations, amusements, parties, happy moments. You will start to neglect those masks and sanitizers, cleanness of your table, adverse effect of junk foods and all other habitual enemies that can make you unwell as long as your doctor will not announce the final caution for your health, for your responsibility towards your family and society. Again you’ll start loving yourself more. It’s a funny cycle.

2.      We human beings are social animals. We live in a certain form of dwelling which is different from all other species. Have you ever thoughts, why so? Because we are more intelligent. But in what grade of thoughts! We can defend ourselves and plan or conspire to strengthen the defense. Now look at other animals, they have to flee or have to be more aggressive as offence is the best available option in their nature. But we build houses, communities, countries, continents and the whole form of all is society. We take care for others whom we prefer to consider as our well wishers or non enemies. Some of them are naturally very close to our emotion. We think about their well being on priority basis. We love to keep them in our thought irrespective of situations. Be the situation is good or adverse, we generally try to review their status also and advice accordingly without any hidden intention. Mostly common advice, but we express to let them know about their existence in our emotional basket of memory. This is what we do throughout calendar. But when crisis occurs, our priority list gets reshuffled and for contagious epidemics we try to keep everyone aware of safety just to keep ourselves safe and secured. As on date, you can find such messages are flooding on social platforms. Everyone is appealing to entire community to be safe, clean, hygienic and avoid going out of house. Here arises a question, why everyone! Already a lot of opinions are coming that if the affected and dead persons are mostly aged, why we youth should accept the house arrest! Because due to high immune a young chap may resist the virus, but can’t prevent himself from being a potential carrier. That’s dangerous for other member of his house. Because infection can spread through anybody & hit any door at any point of time. Everyone wants to be safe that’s why mass appeal is flowing. It’s a blessing in disguise. In global crisis we start to think of unknown people also. We start caring for them without knowing them actually. We believe that others are doing likewise. What an irony! So cruel, so ruthless, so devastating epidemic has made us more humanitarian! This is our ultimate achievement. Let’s make the bonding permanent, break the contagious chain and make our living more graceful. Stand with lockdown and unlock the divine flavor of eternal harmony.
