Job Summary We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for our surgical navigation and data products. The ideal candidate will lead user research, design workflows, and usability testing activities, with a strong emphasis on user-centered design principles. Experience in the medical product industry, particularly with hardware/software integration, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research through customer interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify user needs and behaviors.
• Create and maintain user journey maps, personas, and scenarios to inform design decisions.
• Translate research findings into design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to integrate user-centered design principles.
• Develop and iterate on workflow and interaction designs to ensure seamless and intuitive user experiences.
• Utilize existing Design Systems and UI styles to maintain consistency across products.
• Continuously learn about industry trends, competitor medical devices, and emerging technologies in UX design.
• Focus on optimizing workflows and reducing cognitive load to enhance user satisfaction.
• Measure the impact of design changes on user efficiency and user experience.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in UX design and user research.
• Strong experience conducting user research, usability testing, and creating user journey maps.
• Familiarity with hardware/software integration challenges.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate research findings into actionable design solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Knowledge of software development processes and user-centered design principles.

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, etc.
• Familiarity with IEC 62366-1 (usability engineering for medical devices), FDA Human Factors Guidance, and IEC 62304 (software lifecycle processes for medical devices).
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in medical device design.
• Experience with Jira, Agile methodologies, and 3D applications or 3D modeling.
