Senior Project Manager

Wolviston Management services are hiring a Senior Project Manager on behalf of a client in Stockton on tees.

Working exclusively with our Client, a recognised global leader in the supply of fabrication and engineering services to the Renewables, Chemical, Oil and Gas, Rail, Nuclear, Power and Construction markets.

Reporting into the Managing Director you will be the senior point of contact and liaise  between Company and Client leading the Project Management Team.

• Fully grasp all project management challenges and effectively utilize  project management tools and techniques – Microsoft Project.
• Deliver maximum potential profit/return of the Company’s financial targets set for the project
• Deliver and close out on time, first time to specification and quality
• Communicate to ensure complete awareness of all team and contractor members of interface roles and responsibilities to achieve global project objectives.
• Identify, review and manage project risk avoiding/minimising financial exposure whilst  managing Project Reporting throughout the life cycle of the project on an open, no surprises basis
• Control of Project Close Out and determination of close out strategy, including de-briefs.
• Maintain a proficient, ethical and cooperative approach with Client, Contractors and Team Members

As the Senior Project Manager you will hold broad commercial awareness with exposure to negotiation techniques and financial management. A background in delivering multi million pound projects with successful adherence to health, safety & commercial targets in a highly regulated industry.

A proven track record in managing a small team of Project Managers with specific adherence to Planning (Microsoft Project) and systems. Proven man-management experience of successfully managing teams in a technical engineering environment.

HNC in technical Engineering subject and a Membership with a relevant institution (e.g. I. Mech. E.) is required.
