We are investing in the management and leadership structure for Simcox Construction to keep pace with our substantial turnover growth over the last 3 years. This role is also aimed at keeping pace with the growing technical complexity of our projects.
The Simcox Construction team has a very strong name and reputation built up over its 37-year history through our highly skilled and engaged team, and family culture. It has been a successful part of the Isaac Group now for over three years and several of the Isaac Christchurch based staff have enjoyed relocation to Blenheim and the Simcox team. The Simcox team currently has a General Manager and Operations Manager, a Business Support/HSE Manager, two Project Managers, three very capable Project Engineers and two Graduate Engineers. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager comfortable with tendering and delivering contracts up to $20M. This Senior Project Manager role would also support our Operations Manager and General Manager in working on the business with improved culture, processes, innovations, investments, and business development.
?The Role
This role will be at Simcox Construction and reports to the General Manager. From time to time, we secure work in the Nelson, Tasman and Kaikoura Districts with some requirement for Project Managers to drive in/out or stay away for short to medium periods of time, whichever is the best strategy in each case. An ability to be flexible with securing and managing projects across the top of the South Island is desirable.
The main focus of this role will be to lead and manage tenders and projects across Marlborough. A significant part of this Senior role is that the successful candidate must also help mentor and guide our Project Engineers and Graduates with strong NZS 3910 and commercial understanding and coaching at times.
