Senior Project Engineer – Packaging Scope – Food Project – KL, Malaysia

The Duration:                   12 Months + Potential Extensions

The Location:                   20 mins outside of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Working Week:               40 – 50 hours per week (Mon – Fri) Dependent on operational requirements

The Company

A Multinational snack food manufacturer with production facilities across SEA.

The Project

Scope of work: end to end on the ground project execution and acting as technical expert for packaging equipment (define user requirements with stakeholders, FEED, detail design, vendor evaluation, installation supervision, equipment commissioning and handover to operations)

Working on behalf of the end user overseeing Upgrades to various packaging assets within an existing facility including: Case Packers, auto- palletisers and conveyor systems.

You will be signing off final designs with various packaging OEM companies as well as overseeing installation, commissioning, and the qualification of the systems

The work will encompass various process, mechanical, automation and electrical scopes of work.

Candidate Requirements

7 – 15 years of experience post qualification

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (mechanical, process, automation or industrial engineering)

Ideally have the right to live and work in Malaysia or currently living in the wider South East Asian region

Experience gained working for a food / beverage manufacture

Good experience in packaging projects and ideally experience with case packers, palletizers and conveyor systems

Good knowledge of mechanical, automation scopes of work

Experienced in controlling deliverables associated to capital packaging projects
