Education and Experience ?

• PhD in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college, or relevant and significant industry experience.
• Preferred specialization in the fields of statistics, condition-based-maintenance, predictive modeling, or AI/ML techniques.
• A minimum of 10 years of technical experience in an engineering business
• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a data scientist with established skills in advanced data analytics, predictive modeling, deep learning neural networks, simulations, optimization techniques and unstructured data analytics.
• Have had experience in deploying scalable AI solutions that solve industry problems
• Experience with product management

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the DTAI solution engineers to build scalable AI solutions that drive business value for our business units and customers
• Partner with the Director of DTAI and business development teams to engage directly with business unit and external customers to understand pain-points?
• Be a technical cross-functional leader with organizations such as, services, additive manufacturing, locomotive, marine and mining engineering groups to drive new digital solution opportunities
• Lead AI education and awareness throughout Wabtec to build the pipeline for advanced data scientists within the organization
• Be heavily involved in external collaboration efforts with startups, incubators and universities to grow AI skill base and resource arm.
