The position will report directly to the Vice President of Nursing and will be well-supported by a team of 200 FTE's including a team of seven (7) Nurse Managers.

- Offers oncology services across multiple campuses within the health system
- The service line is experiencing rapid growth and is currently building a brand new patient tower that will allow them to continue to provide exceptional oncology services to their community
- The position will manage a team of ~200 FTE's and direct nursing operations across our client's flagship outpatient oncology services department including?Medical and Surgical Oncology, Hematology/BMT, Phase One/Procedural, Radiation/Proton Therapy and Infusion Services
- The Senior Director will provide the strategic and visionary direction for the departments, ensure a seamless patient experience during times of growth, drive a culture of active engagement with staff and leaders, provide mentorship to the nursing team and ensure they have the tools and resources needed to provide the best patient care, build collegial and collaborative relationships with the providers, attend provider and clinical council meetings, and ensure the highest and safest level of patient care is provided consistently
- Exceptional opportunities for growth to the VP / CNO level
- Master’s degree required (if not in Nursing, must have Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Active RN license
- At least seven (7) years oncology nursing experience
- At least two (2) years must be in oncology leadership roles (preferably at the Director level)
- Innovative, energetic and self-directed leader with a proven track record of success in leading oncology teams
- Excellent communication skills across all levels
- OCN certification is preferred
- Academic Medical Center and NCI Cancer Center experience is highly desired
- Strong working knowledge of all cancer treatment modalities?
