Senior Data Engineer/CIM/REMOTE

About You:

You are a seasoned Data Engineer, skilled in both PySpark and SQL. With end-to-end experience in creating analytical data products, you are proficient in extracting data from sources, transforming it, and presenting it for use in reports and dashboards. You possess strong communication skills, build good relationships with colleagues, and enjoy working with people. As a pragmatic problem solver with a bias for action, you are motivated by delivering results. Your passion for data is matched by your enthusiasm for the ever-evolving technologies that leverage it, and you stay current with the latest trends and tools in Data Engineering. You work with a DevOps mindset and have experience in agile teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Write Python (mainly PySpark) and SQL code to access and transform data.
• Use modern data technologies like Azure Databricks and Fivetran to build high-quality data products.
• Design data models that consider performance, usability, and data security. Codify commercial and financial metrics to enable fast and accurate decision-making.
• Adhere to and influence our DevOps engineering practices, working independently or collaborating with other data professionals on projects.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, understand their needs, and translate them into technical tasks.

Your Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in Python, particularly PySpark.
• Expertise in SQL and working with databases.
• Experience with lakehouses, preferably Databricks.
• Familiarity with cloud providers, preferably Azure.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including version control.
