Senior Business Development Manager North Africa-based in Tunis (fundraising and donor relations required)

Our client's team is growing and they are looking to hire a Senior Business Development Manager in North Africa region who can facilitate that.


The Senior Business development manager is responsible to develop new partnerships in the North Africa Region. You are not starting from scratch. They are building on a strong programme track records in over 25 conflict-affected states, and are supported by the trust of existing reputable donors and partners.


 

Main tasks and responsibilities

? Lead and coordinate efforts by field offices in the NA region to develop and write new project proposals and applications in SME development, entrepreneurship, employability, and higher (vocational) education, both in response to open tenders as well as unsolicited applications

? Establish and maintain close relationships and communication with the relevant donors in the countries of intervention in the NA region

? Represent our client in front of donors and international development events and conferences

? Promote NA work in the region and communicate on successful program results and technical approaches among the stakeholders and donors

? Identify and monitor funding opportunities in the region

? Work closely with RPD and country offices representatives to set up a vision for the portfolio expansion in NA

? Coordinate collaboration and communication with the acquisition team and identify growth opportunities

? Translate the acquisition team priorities and global priorities to the region and propose development plan accordingly

? Monitoring for potential partnerships for countries of interest.

? Able to build and maintain partnerships with local partners and stakeholders in the region.

 

Requirements and competencies:

? +7 years of experience in business development/fundraising and donor relations in the field of entrepreneurship, employability, and access to higher education.

? Proven donor network in the region.

? Excellent oral and written language skills in English. French or Arabic are a strong preference.

? Awareness of relevant funding schemes from NA donors;

? Good knowledge of project development, particularly project proposal writing (LFA methodology);

? Good (intercultural) communication and social skills;

? Excellent presentation skills and the ability to work independently. The position requires a results-oriented approach.

? Experience in programmes related to entrepreneurship and higher education.
