Senior Business Analyst - Rolling Meadows, IL

V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our premier client in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This is a contract/contract to hire position in the insurance brokerage and risk management service industry.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience ?

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 6 or more years related experience required
• Experience in Claims Management/Insurance/Workers’ Comp/Health Care insurance/TPA is preferred but not required
• Flexibility in use of SDLC frameworks – Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ?

• You can synthesize / codify requirements from a disparate group of stakeholders
• You are a strong communicator - You can facilitate working meetings, ask probing questions, and truly listen and absorb the needs of your business partners
• You have the ability to align business/technical objectives and facilitate a shared understanding of the problem at hand
• You can evaluate and critically consider multiple options before helping the team settle on a solution
• You pride yourself on your documentation/ business writing skills - You have a keen ability to build clear and concise BRD's and clearly articulate the business asks
• You desire to dive into the complexity of our business and navigate both relationships and process
• You are open to constructive feedback and learning from an experienced team
• Understanding the technology behind the data warehouse and be able to translate business requirement to developers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding
• Analyze business processes, identify process deficiencies, research solutions and oversee the remediation of these deficiencies
• Assist with the design and implementation of operational and system improvements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient
• Write and validate business requirements and conducts system testsBuild trust in our key business partner relationships
• Create clarity in projects and work effectively through ambiguity
• Handle complex business and technical environments (across multiple platforms, dealing with multiple vendors, data flowing in from multiple parties and out to multiple parties, etc.)
• Perform source-to-target mapping for new data assets within the EDW
• Query data using SQL
