Senior AWS Developer

You will be part of a dynamic and a highly technical team. You will be working with our core team to build solutions on AWS to integrate with Genesys Cloud and Engage Cloud platforms.

As a senior AWS Developer, you will be working with an innovative bunch. We are an empathetic company. We are thinkers. We challenge ourselves every day to create the best experience for our customers.

You will be part of our digital team and responsible for building custom solutions and / or products using the server less technology on AWS. You will also work closely with our customers, partners and internal team to deliver awesome application on AWS.

Ok. Now tell me about my roles and responsibilities?

• Develop AWS Server less application.
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Lead technical design session to produce high-performance and highly scalable application.
• Write infrastructure as a code using CloudFormation or similar
• Implement the application’s CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and product owners to find solutions to complex issues.
• Define service capacity planning strategies.
• Migrate infrastructure with zero downtime to a highly available, scalable one.
• Set up a monitoring stack.
• Mentor and train junior members of the team.

What about the skills?

• AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect or higher is a must.
• Experienced AWS Developer with 5 years of cloud development experience.
• Experience with the core AWS services, plus the specifics mentioned in this job description.
• Previous exposure to large-scale systems design.
• Strong notions of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.).
• Past hands-on experience developing server-less apps, including and not limited to the use of Lambda, DynamoDb, SNS, SQS, AppSync, API Gateway. QuickSight, Athena, Kinesis desirable.
• Good understanding of design patterns.
• Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Having used ECS / EKS in the past is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Good background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Extensive experience in building real-world products / solutions and integration experience with other systems.
