Senior Accountant

A growing international Hotel company with its corporate head office in Amsterdam is currently recruiting for a newly created Senior Accountant role.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to be part of this journey.

Main Responsibilities: 

§ Responsible for the end-to-end GL accounting activities and the entire month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close process for a group of in-sourced legal entities

§ Posting of G/L and transactional journals, this includes the data transfer from other relevant systems (ie Opera PMS)

§ Monthly Balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis, support the preparation of forecasts, budgets and monthly reporting package

§ Completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

§ Coordinate the compliance deliverables with the local service providers (i.e. CIT, Payroll etc.)

§ Prepare and submit VAT returns

§ Coordinate and review the input from the Assistant Accountants on A/R and A/P ledgers

§ Contribute to the preparation and filing of the annual consolidated financial statements as well as preparation of the statutory financial accounts

§ Supervise Intercompany billing, Intercompany charges and Intercompany reconciliations

§ Drive and coordinate the further in-sourcing of the accounting services as currently rendered by third party local service providers

§ Develop and coach junior accountants and assistant accounts

§ Any other task as assigned
