Send Unwanted and Unsubscribable Gmail Emails to Spam Automatically

I still get emails from unwanted sources and places I'm not interested in receiving them from.

Do you?

...or I'm added to a spammer list by someone who sold my email address.

Are you?

I know I have tried other avenues such as using alias names or alternate email accounts.

You too?

To Spammers and others:

  • Don't you understand the 'unsubscribe' message?
  • Do you bother to even include one if you don't use a major email service provider?
  • Does your email provider suck?
  • Or are they intentionally ignoring the law by not taking me off their list?
  • Are you merely looking for confirmation I still exist so you can keep sending your garbage!

When I realize I am wasting my time acting professionally, then I just...

automatically send those emails to my Spam folder using a Gmail procedure.

No, this doesn't excommunicate (as other email providers do) them completely.

...but it does keep them out of my Inbox, which is the next best thing.

The process is really quite simple

1. Open the email.

2. Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.

Three dots on Gmail message

3. Click on “Block (name of sender)”.

Click on Block...

4. Click 'Block' to send future emails to Spam automatically.

Block this email address

Note – 5. if you made a mistake and want to reverse the process, one way is to simply open the email in your Spam folder and click on 'Unblock sender'.

Can unblock later

Personal Observation: The biggest problem senior adults have with computers is that they simply don’t know what they don’t know.
