Understand the semiotics of scent & stay right on top!
Your scent is your social signature, just like your Business card is your professional signature. It speaks volumes about you.
Here are 12 powerful ways to sensitize & sharpen your olfactory senses.
1. A good fragrance to announces your arrival. Make a big entrance. Get noticed.
2. Use your fragrance to send across a powerful message. Your perfume says: “I Am…Cool, Confident, Clean, No-nonsense, Exotic, Sensuous, Earthy, Flirty, Mysterious, Bold...
3. Attract your partner. A good smell releases pheromones. Your fragrance can be an aphrodisiac.
4. Shift your mood. When feeling low, depressed, anxious, stressed & exhausted spray on some of your favourite fragrance for instant mood uplift.
5. When you cannot get sleep, spray on some of your favourite perfume on to your pillow.
6. Spritz some your fragrance in your cupboard for a great smelling wardrobe.
7. Perfumes create nostalgia. They create & also bring back memories. You can re-live an entire experience through the memories of a fragrance.
8. Boost your own self-confidence with your favourite fragrance. Fall in love with yourself.
9. Define your personality through your fragrance ( Sweet, Spicy, Alluring, Musky, Woody, Fruity, Floral, Earthy Citrus, Oriental, Dewy etc)
10. Know the difference. An Eu de Toilette is a light fragrance & is ideal for day wear/ office wear. An Eu de Parfum is a strong fragrance & is deal for night/party wear. A deo is only a De+odorant.
11. Make your fragrance last longer by applying it on a dash of baby oil or Vaseline on your pulse points (behind the ears, Wrist & neck) & let it dry naturally. Do not rub. Baby oil or Vaseline acts as a barrier between your natural body odour/heat & keeps the fragrance from evaporating too fast. To smell good throughout the day, also spray on your inner elbows, behind the knees, calves & ankles as well.
12. Your scent can be an Image-maker or an Image-breaker. Choose wisely.
