Semicoa has produced JAN / JANTX / JANTXV / JANS Bipolar Transistors continuously for 50 years and is now introducing JANs Diodes in a new Package, which eliminates many of the existing issues with the Glass Melf Packages.

Problems with traditional Glass Diodes:

  • Cracked Glass - Removing manually Serial Tags
  • Lack of hermeticity
  • Difficult to use for automatic pick an place
  • No serials # on the actual parts 

Semicoa’s solution is the new designed UMC Package:

  • Pick and place no problem
  • No CTE mismatch
  • Serial number visible on the part
  • Cathode marking clearly visible
  • Castellation for solder flow inspection
  • No floating metal due to ceramic Lid
  • Lower thermal Resistance
