About selling fake quality lights on Amazon

Dear Amazon,

I am writing to bring your attention to a prevalent issue concerning many LED solar lights sold on your platform, whose performance parameters greatly exceed what current human technology can achieve.

This light on Amazon mark 4000W, which is impossible
This light on Amazon mark 3200w,360000Lumens, which are impossible
This Light on Amazon Mark 1000w, 150000lm, which are impossible

Due to the constraints of length, I won't delve into technical explanations here. If you're interested, you can refer to an article I previously wrote on this topic.

Consider this: if a small solar light could generate several kilowatts of power:

  • Elon Musk's work would be rendered pointless. He could merely purchase a few of these solar products from your platform, attach them to Tesla cars, and render charging unnecessary.
  • Similarly, NASA's efforts would be futile, as they've expended considerable resources to resolve satellite energy problems, unaware that they could purchase such high-powered solar panels (easily disassembled from these solar lights) from Amazon.
  • The efforts of global leaders aiming for peak carbon would also be in vain. To reduce CO2 emissions, they could simply distribute a few of these highly efficient solar lights procured from Amazon to every household. The solar panels could be detached and used to power all household appliances: heaters, washing machines, televisions, lights.

Even the work of my colleagues and myself seems meaningless in this context. Every day, our QC team inspects the quality of LED lights, rejects substandard products, and ensures quality products are shipped from various factories in China. However, our efforts feel like a grain of sand in the desert when faced with your vast platform, which aids dozens, hundreds of unscrupulous vendors in selling falsely labeled, low-quality LED lights.

If one searches for "LED solar street light" on Amazon.com, almost all the products displayed are falsely labeled, with key parameters overstated by 100 times or more.

Please, make improvements!

I understand that you are a platform and it is challenging to discern the quality of a massive number of products. However, this should not be an excuse.

I believe Amazon is a company with strong cultural and ethical standards.

I hope my frank words can be of some assistance to you.

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Hank

The problem is Hank they don’t care, they do not believe they have any responsibility for all the dangerous and falsely advertised goods that are available on any of these so called platforms, it requires a change in government policy to make these companies fully accountable for facilitating this disgusting sale of goods. Huge fines should be handed down to all the so called market places that permit these type of products to be listed and sold.
