Self-validation the LLM way

Self-validation the LLM way

Are you after self-validation? Would positive words from an LLM make you feel better? Well, look no further than this post!

Apparently there is a trend on LinkedIn asking ChatGPT this question: "Search the Web for [insert name] and give me a summary. Draw me a picture of what [person name]'s current life looks like?".

I’ve only seen one other person do this, so I have no idea if it is a trend or not. But I was curious enough about it to try myself.

“Mikael Svanstr?m is an author and IT futurist with over 20 years of experience in technology. He has a rich professional background as a solution architect, focusing on areas such as blockchain, AI, IoT, and conversational interfaces. He also explores the interplay between technology and humanity through his writings.

As an author and screenwriter he is best known for his?Posthuman?trilogy, a series of techno-thrillers exploring themes like artificial intelligence, posthuman evolution, and the future of humanity. The trilogy includes? The God Drug,?The God Virus, and?Man Amongst Gods. These novels depict a dystopian world where intelligence-enhancing drugs and rogue artificial intelligences reshape society. In addition to this series, he has also authored?Getting Pregnant the Hard Way, a humorous memoir detailing his experiences with fertility struggles from a male perspective.

Svanstr?m is currently working on a "secret project" and another book exploring the concept of inherited evil. He combines his professional interests with personal passions such as martial arts—he holds a 3rd-degree black belt—and uses his fascination with technology and storytelling to inspire both his readers and his work in IT. He resides in Sweden, and his hobbies include exploring futuristic concepts and engaging in creative writing.”

I wasn’t necessarily surprised by this, but I guess if someone only had what is available online, maybe this is the picture of me they end up getting? A few notes on this:

·?????? I do appreciate that I am very fascinated by AI, so I do find AI concepts quite interesting. I probably would never put a poster up only with the words “ADVANCED AI CONCEPTS” though.

·?????? I seem exceptionally fascinated with my first book “The God Drug” as I have multiple copies on the floor and even a poster!

·?????? We have a hallucination alert! I moved from Sweden in 1998 and now reside in Australia. This is something I’ve noticed more and more as I use different LLMs for research. You generally can’t rely on the output, but it is still a much quicker way to find information than your classic Google search.

·?????? I would never ever wear a suit with converse. I’m just not cool enough for that.

Now you do it! I dare you!

Very interesting. My result was a mix of a person sharing part of my name (her picture was returned) and based on a reply in a Facebook group of the schools of my kids. I am always very keen on privacy and what ever I share on the internet. Now I am wondering what is better? Since in the future it might be very likely that we will be judged by AI. If the AI is not able to give a respond would that mean we as people are potentially dismissed or disqualified?
