Self-understanding in a fresh new way.

I’m creating our new website (coming soon) and it makes me really happy because it means that I can articulate what the latest version of GeniusYou actually is!

GeniusYou has been described as many things, life coaching, therapy...and while there is definitely a coaching element to the process and there’s a lot of healing that this journey achieves, GeniusYou is different.

Defining what it is, was hard. Whoever said a strategist should never work on their own strategy was absolutely right. I swore and cursed my way through two weeks, before I hit on this little goodie;

GeniusYou is a framework for self-understanding and development.

What we’ve discovered is that self-understanding that works, that enables us to develop, is the most powerful thing in the frickin' world. It’s moves us from being a person that has life happen to us, to a person who knows how to make their life work. We get to heal. To get unstuck. To thrive.

Truth be told, I have fallen in love with self-understanding. I want to yell the power of it, from the rooftops. But before I do, there’s some fixing that needs to happen. Our current self-understanding process isn’t good, and it makes the journey awful. It’s like uncovering a big wound, with no treatment plan.

Why because our framework for self-understanding is wrong; predominately we’re attempting to do it alone, in our heads, normally when times are hard, we are using an outdated understanding of what we actually need, we’re seeking love and validation externally, we’ve never been taught to harness our minds, and judgment, the tool which is meant to create understanding, is set to fear and insecurity, instead of love and compassion.

All of this enables us to reach some pretty horrific conclusions about ourselves. Attempting to understand when our framework is wrong, means that our data is wrong and nothing can get better, we just end up going in perpetual circles, even when we are trying really hard.

So we created a framework that does work, and from here my beauties, change isn’t just possible, it’s inevitable. Come and join us!
