The self-taught hairdresser from Syria and his open-air hair salon in Volos

"Personal care for me is not only a beautiful appearance, but also exercise, diet, a beautiful smile and of course cleanliness," he says.

In the olive groves outside the Moza structure in Volos, 25-year-old Othman volunteers his services to fellow refugees.The 25-year-old wants to stay in Greece, get a hairdressing training and work. He has learned that hard work is needed for every next step and his willingness to communicate remains his guide.

"I like foreign languages, through them I know different cultures and civilizations. I speak Kirmanji, Arabic, Turkish, English, while at the same time I try every day, through my socializing with Greeks, to learn more and more of the Greek language ".
