In episode 7 of Agile Leaders Conversations, veteran sales leader Christian Kastner shares his thoughts on the book "8 Paradoxes of Leadership Agility," highlighting how he related to the paradox of "principled vs. adaptable" and offering wise leadership counsel that will encourage others to reevaluate their priorities.
Christian shared about his view of the importance of filling your life with meaningful things to make sure your life will be shaped positively. In his opinion, a leader must care for all facets of life because they are interconnected.
Christian also discussed the value of putting your people first and separating your identity from your profession. He believes that achieving personal mastery is crucial and will always be a fantastic path to follow to develop into a flexible and outstanding leader.
He left sound and wise advice to veteran and aspiring leaders. First is to connect with our emotions, never be afraid to get all the help you can, and lastly, tap into intergenerational learning instead of staying divided. Even elders can learn from the young ones, and vice versa.
