Self Managing should be cored element as per management perspective, mostly interviewer ask question about our strength and weakness and number of people easily describe their strength but weakness description it's also covered people strength.
As leader it's become difficult once it's comes on self-assessment because he deploy to manage team and due to his / her experience, skills and education, he / she thinks whatever they present will be fruitful for the project but as a good leader we should be focused on our self-assessment skills, such as time management, resisting stress, problem solving, delegating work, communication, planning, controlling, monitoring and evaluation.
How can we improve our self-assessment skills on project described below;
? We have to coordinate with our sub ordinates and have weekly meetings, where everyone can present their ideas for enhancement.
? Recognized and appreciate staff for their achievements and performance.
? Delegation of work should be done as per capabilities of staff.
? Make a mechanism to evaluate performance of staff and project progress.
? Make effective controlling mechanism to achieve Project milestone on timely manner.
? Communication is key to success for any project; make sure multi nationalities people easily understand direction.
? As a leader we have to identify problems and have quick solution as well.
Self Managing skills are important in our work place, they help in many ways like contribution of staff will more, effective directions to sub-ordinates, emotionally attachments, patience development, accuracy, results, progress and others.
Self Managing develop our Managerial attitude which is direct effect on our management tools such as strategies, plan, controlling, staffing and communication and resulted in successful completion of Project / Business.
Self-assessment is key to run project / department successfully, In this era we have number of challenges during our business hours but survival will be the one who assist himself first, no one is perfect but practices of above skills makes us perfect.
